The castle's history is long and fascinating. It was originally a fortress and has been owned by a number of noble families throughout its lifetime, including the Medici family of Florence. The Bolza family purchased the castle in the late 1990s and have since been working to restore it to its former glory.

The castle's interiors are exquisite, with restored frescoes, antique furniture, and original architectural features. The courtyard is also a sight to behold, with its lush green lawns and a stunning fountain
